Tales of the Middle East

Jordan's rock formations are a perfect demonstration of natural abstraction, with vibrant layers of different minerals creating complex patterns and textures. Over time, wind and rain have sculpted the rocks, revealing bands of colour similar to flames or splattered paint.

The hidden corners of Petra's archaeological site showcase these geological wonders, where the rocks appear both fluid and frozen, their shapes and hues reminiscent of abstract art. The natural erosion of the stone creates a surreal, almost timeless atmosphere.

This collection of photographs was captured during a trip to Jordan in October 2023.
