Icelandic landscapes have an abstract quality that makes them similar to natural works of art. Seen from the sky, the movement and textures of water, ice, lava and earth interact to compose surreal scenes.
The landscape appears alive and constantly changing. The elements come together to blur the line between reality and abstraction, making Iceland a place where natural forces shape a dreamlike artistic environment.

During the summers of 2023 and 2024, planet Iceland unveiled itself in front of my eyes, transcending my understanding of the world. It was after my first trip there that I knew I wanted to shift my focus from landscape photography to abstract photography.
